Delaware State Police investigating ‘shooting incident’ during basketball game at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, Delaware (WPVI) — Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting during a high school basketball game Monday night.

It happened during a game against the Tri-State Christian Academy at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown.

No injuries were reported.

According to the police, the residents of the school are clearing the area.

There was no immediate word as to what had triggered the apparent shooting.

No arrests were made.

Appoquinimink High School was also the scene of a shooting during a football game in September. One person was injured in this incident.
