Democrats and Silver Linings – WSJ

Give President Joe Biden credit for his ability to see the glass as half full. When a reporter asked him this week about a new poll that shows even most members of his own party don’t want him to stand for re-election, he pointed to another poll finding that shows Democrats are against him still overwhelmingly prefer to former President Donald Trump. One can admire Mr. Biden’s determination to find a silver lining in even the cloudiest of political environments. But if Americans have to wait until Mr. Trump has majority Democrat support for the current President to understand the need for a course correction, we’re all in deep trouble.
