Dev Alahan makes a decision about Aadi in Coronation Street

But their illicit romance is finally brought to light next week in Coronation Street, prompting the boy’s father Dev to take action.

After a failed relationship with Summer Spellman, Aadi Alahan (played by Adam Hussain) put his love life on hold until it became clear he was developing feelings for Amy Barlow.
But as ITV viewers will remember, that teenage romance didn’t materialize when Stephanie Davis rocked the cobbles as Courtney Vance earlier this year.
Courtney, the wife of Dev Alahan’s business partner Darren, seduced Aadi and despite their age difference, the two embarked on a steamy affair.
Courtney and Aadi are desperate to keep their romance a secret because it could not only end their marriage but also jeopardize Dev’s (Jimmi Harkishin) business plans.
Unfortunately, no secret is ever truly safe in Weatherfield.
Shortly before Darren (Ryan Early) closes the Freshco deal, he books a celebratory dinner and suggests that Amy (Elle Mulvaney) take Aadi on as a partner.
Amy and Aadi quickly try to apologize, leaving Darren and Dev confused.
While Darren and Dev are completely unaware of Aadi’s affair with Courtney, Amy is well aware of their connection, having met her in the middle of their tryst earlier this year.
When Dev calls Aadi and Amy a couple, Aadi quickly corrects him and realizes that he is already seeing someone named Monica.
Aadi has no idea that Darren is slowly asserting himself.
Darren later confides in Dev that he and Courtney are having marital problems and he suspects she is having an affair while Amy listens.
As the celebratory lunch is underway, Amy warns Aadi that Darren knows Courtney is playing away.
When Dev reveals that Aadi has a new girlfriend, Darren, Courtney and Amy are attentive, describing her as beautiful, funny and intelligent.
While Dev and Darren are distracted, Aadi follows Courtney outside where they share a kiss.
But Dev stumbles upon them and is stunned to find his son in a passionate clinch with the boss’s wife.

In later scenes, the Weatherfield businessman tries to keep his son out of further trouble as he and his daughter Asha (Tanisha Gorey) wonder how long Courtney plans to stay.
However, Aadi is visibly thrilled when Courtney explains that she is rid of Darren and that this is a chance for her to give it a try.
To save the Freshco deal, Dev promises Darren to talk to Aadi and make him see reason.
But how will Aadi react?
Will he listen to his father?
