Didi Says It Will Proceed With Delisting From NYSE

Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global Inc. said it will proceed with its plan to delist from the New York Stock Exchange, after securing shareholder approval at Monday’s meeting.

The move would allow the company to move forward after a long hiatus in which Beijing tightened a grip on the country’s tech companies and their data warehouses. Didi has told shareholders it needs to delist before it can deal with an ongoing investigation into cybersecurity in China.
