Additionally, The wonders was postponed four months to November, and What if…? has been officially postponed – possibly postponed to 2024.

Unfortunately, it seems these delays aren’t going away anytime soon.

A new report from Variety revealed that several upcoming Disney+ projects from Marvel Studios will be delayed.

According to insiders, five Disney+ series originally planned for 2023 have now been narrowed down to three or four. Presumably this only refers to live-action projects.

So which Marvel Studios series are most likely to be released this year and which ones will be postponed?

Secret invasion

The upcoming series starring Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury should land sometime in early 2023. However, this has not yet happened.

The latest update on the situation came from insider KC Walsh, who claimed that the final release date for Secret invasion June was – a month after his original claims of May. Other rumors have even tried to say it might not premiere until September.

Unfortunately, there’s no official word from Marvel Studios on when the Skrull-centric show will be canceled. At the very least, fans should expect this series to be a 2023 lockdown.

echo

While Alaqua Cox’s echo Originally slated to premiere this summer, reputable sources like Murphy’s Multiverse are reporting that the project won’t land in 2023. Instead, it will likely have a new release date in early 2024.

But why the long delay?

Well, The Cosmic Circus’s Lizzie Hill vaguely shared how she was doing “heard things lately” that’s what she did “very very worried about echo.”

Most recently, however, the series star appeared to be teasing an October 2023 premiere herself. So there is a lot of conflicting information.

Marvel Studios has not commented on potential production issues echo or an update offered in a release window.

Loki season 2

The first Marvel Studios Disney+ show to get a second season is gearing up for its big return. Unfortunately, like many other MCU projects, its release is unknown.

Originally Tom Hiddleston was supposed to return Loki in the summer of 2023. Unfortunately, that release window has been jeopardized thanks to a recent update on Disney+ that changed its expected debut to “Soon.”

Next to Secret invasion, Loki Season 2 is expected to be released in 2023, even after unforeseen delays. It is not yet known which of the two will be broadcast first.

heart of steel

Of all the upcoming projects heart of steel was strangely quiet – which isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing.

The show originally aimed for a fall release this year. However, like the rest of Marvel’s Disney+ franchise, the series is now simple “Soon.”

If fans get a third MCU series this year, it’s likely to be Dominque Thorne’s heart of steel.

Agatha: Circle of Chaos

The WandaVision spin off Agatha: Circle of Chaos was originally intended to be released sometime towards the end of 2023 or early 2024.

However, according to industry insider KC Walsh, the project’s release date is now being flagged internally at Marvel Studios as TBD (to be determined). Some whisperers have even teased that it may have been pushed back to 2025.

Marvel Studios or Disney have not commented on any of the recent rumors regarding the project’s release date.

The series is in active production in Atlanta, GA, so at least fans can rest assured that Kathryn Hahn’s project is still moving forward.

X Men ’97

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 will showcase the forthcoming revival of the X-Men animated series The release date was given as fall 2023. Other than that, Marvel Studios didn’t reveal anything concrete — not even rumors added much.

The show’s head writer Beau DeMayo hinted that despite all the MCU delays, it’s still aiming to debut next fall.

The series has already been renewed for a second season, which appears to be in production.

What if…? season 2

Originally the second season of What if…? was scheduled to premiere in 2022, a year after its first run.

When that didn’t happen, it seemed like Marvel Studios was considering a drop for early 2023. Now, in mid-March, it’s clear that that won’t happen either.

According to industry insider KC Walsh, the animated series won’t return to Disney+ until the first quarter of 2024.

Marvel Studios has still not commented on a new release window for the show.
