With Moonlight Knight has ended the first season, now it’s time for the audience to know the next hero to enter the MCU, Ms. Marvel. Played by newcomer Iman Vellani, the cop from New Jersey is an avid fangirl of every superhero, with Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) at the top of Kamala Khan’s list. So it’s only fitting that her lifelong dream of having power come true.
The series received some backlash from fans before it premiered. Why? Well, according to her MCU interpretation, her set of powers will be different than in the comics. Her plump skin is gone and in its place lighter textures.
Even if that might mislead some, one has to admit that it’s hard not to be excited about a new hit character finally having time to shine.
Now, the studio is looking to attract more attention and interest to the show by releasing a brand new documentary special ahead of the show’s premiere.
Documentary film Ms. Marvel Special Announced
It has been revealed that Marvel Studios will be releasing a special documentary for its upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvelseparate from the usual Assemble episodes released after each MCU show ended its airtime.
Special will be titled A fan guide to Ms. Marvel and is scheduled to launch the service on Wednesday, June 1. The short documentary will give fans “an exclusive look behind the groundbreaking original series,” and will also “[feature] interviews with the award-winning filmmaker team and … the show’s glamorous star: “
“’A Fan’s Guide to Ms. Marvel’ is a short documentary that gives you a unique look at the groundbreaking original series, ‘Ms. Marvel’, from its comic book origins to its development and production as Marvel Studios’ next hit series on Disney+. Get a special look at Ms. Marvel
This is the first time Marvel Studios has released special behind-the-scenes footage for one of the upcoming Disney+ originals ahead of its launch. Usually, a similar special will air right after the end of the series in the form of studios’ Assemble label.
So why is there a change here? Well, that could signal that Marvel Studios might not be too confident in the popularity and performance of the show, so they want to try and get Ms. Marvel There are more names out there than usual.
On the other hand, it can be the beginning of a new tradition and will become a lasting trend for future projects. It should also be noted that this new special documentary is almost half the length of the regular film.
Even with this new short, it can still be said that fans can still look forward to it Ms. Marvel still get one Assemble installment.
