Do I have to pay for Heathrow airport pickup?

To collect someone from Heathrow car park you have to pay.

If your visitors meet you within 30 minutes of your arrival, you will have to pay £6.

As indicated in the list below, the more time you spend in the Heathrow car park, the price increases:

  • Waiting between 30 and 44 minutes – £9.50
  • Waiting between 45 and 59 minutes – £12.70
  • Waiting time between 1 and 2 hours – £16.00
  • Waiting between two and three hours – £19.40
  • Waiting between three and four hours – £23.30
  • Waiting between four and five hours – £29.30
  • Waiting between five and six hours – £37.70
  • Waiting time between six and nine hours – £51.40
  • Waiting time between nine and twelve hours – £67.30
  • Waiting between 12 and 24 hours – £83.30

Where should I pick up passengers at Heathrow Airport?

To pick up passengers you must use the short stay car park at Heathrow Airport.

There is one in each terminal.

You can pay for parking with the Heathrow app on your phone and pay directly there.

Can I park for free at Heathrow Airport?

The only way to get free parking at Heathrow is to stay overnight in the long stay car park.

It’s only free for 30 minutes, after that you have to pay for parking.

The first two hours of parking are free for Blue Badge holders.

Fees depend on whether you park in the long stay lot on peak or off-peak days.

The main dates are usually the Easter and Christmas holidays, the semester break, the summer holidays and the main date in September.

Peak-time parking rates are as follows:

  • Stays between 30 minutes and two hours – £9
  • One day stay: £43.20
  • For stays longer than one day, each day: £34.50

Off-peak parking costs are as follows:

  • Stays between 30 minutes and two hours – £9
  • One day stay: £37.70
  • For stays of more than one day, each day: £30.30
