One reason Democrats are excited about keeping Donald Trump at the center of politics is because they know they can count on him to continue his vendetta against fellow Republicans. Even by that all-too-familiar standard of behavior, the former president’s slurs against his former transport minister Elaine Chao are particularly ugly.

Mr. Trump has pursued a vendetta against it Mitch McConnell since the Senate GOP leader denounced the former President’s role in the Jan. 6 events. Mr Trump calls him “a broken-down hacker politician,” despite Mr McConnell’s role in keeping a Supreme Court seat open for Mr Trump in 2016 to run on.
