DoorDash glitch July 2022: Customers flooded social media platforms showing them making lavish orders they didn’t have to pay for

A bug allowed thousands of DoorDash customers to place orders Thursday without verifying payment.

DoorDash customers flooded social media platforms showing they were making generous orders that they didn’t have to pay for.

Some ordered thousands of dollars worth of premium tequila, others received a lifetime supply of Plan B contraceptives.

DoorDash has caught the bug with its payment processing service and is working to cancel fraudulent orders.

Legal experts caution that using a fraudulent or expired card at a merchant in the United States is a criminal offense regardless of the glitch.

Ironically, the customers who took advantage of the bug and the system allegedly didn’t even bother to tip their doordash drivers.
