Dr David Spiegel Back to the Future memes trend online as witness’s testimony during Johnny Depp trial goes viral

Dr David Spiegel, a psychiatrist and expert witness, took a stand during the Johnny Depp x Amber Heard defamation trial. Christopher Lloyd is currently becoming a trend when netizens think that Spiegel looks and sounds extremely similar to Llyod. Back to the future personality Doc Brown.

During the cross-examination by Depp’s legal team, Dr David Spiegel became a subject for internet humour. Heard’s attorneys called him as an expert witness to provide testimony about substance abuse and intimate partner violence (IPV) in which Depp may have been involved.

Not surprisingly, the psychiatrist was questioned about his qualifications to be considered an “expert witness”.

While this is often a mere formality, cross-checking becomes unexpectedly harsh.

Johnny Depp’s attorney Wayne Dennison attempted to remove Dr. David Spiegel’s background. Dennison claimed that the psychiatrist did not write or present about IPV, disqualifying him as an “expert witness” in the trial.

The lawyer and psychiatrist continued to argue throughout the trial. Dennison pointed out that Spiegel could not make a valid assessment because he did not interview Depp. Spiegel claims to have made such a request. However, the actor refused to participate.

Dennison then asked Spiegel how he came up with his assessment of the actor’s cognitive speech analysis. Dennison added:

“At the time of your being taken down, wouldn’t you say what you did was compare Mr. Depp’s performance in so many Pirates movies with him being brought down here?”

Spiegel went on to apologize for the same thing. Dennison challenged this concept by hilariously attacking him. Dennison says:

“Willy Wonka is not important to you? Did you see that movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Did you look at that one when comparing his processing speed? ”

Spiegel was also questioned during the relentless cross-examination for calling Johnny Depp an “idiot” and judging Depp for being impaired.

Internet reaction to Dr. David Spiegel being cross-examined by Johnny Depp’s lawyer

When the psychiatrist took a stand, many people noticed a striking resemblance between him and Doc Brown. A few tweets read:

If Sam the Eagle and Doc Brown had a childish love.

This is one of the greatest crosses of an adept witness I have ever seen. Doc Brown is being destroyed. 😂

Dr. Spiegel is one of the strangest witnesses in the stands – like someone who kidnapped Doc Brown from Back to the Future and put him in the dark.

What does Dr. David Spiegel say about Johnny Depp?

When the psychiatrist talks about the signs of IPV, he says that one of them is someone who is in a jealous or suspicious relationship, the second is “a person with a high tolerance for violent ideas.” higher than average” and the third sign would include a person with rapid “mood swings” along with “limited self-control.”

When Heard’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft asked if this might be evident in Depp’s conduct, Spiegel replied that Depp frequently displayed such reactions.

Spiegel also testified during the trial that Depp took a variety of drugs, some prescribed and some illegal. He added that the actor drank them along with his drinking.
