Dr. Dre’s Attorney Claims Disney Tried to Sign Him For $4M Deal After ‘The Chronic’

dr Dr’s attorney Peter Paterno revealed on the Connection is Magic podcast that Disney tried to sign the rapper after his album The Chronic topped the charts.

“We had these music meetings with Michael Eisner at Disney every week, and Michael Eisner came over and he sees the record at number 1 and he’s like, ‘I thought you were in a relationship with this guy?'” Paterno said.

But Disney was with Dr. Not satisfied with Dre’s explicit lyrics or his album art.

“He said, ‘How come we don’t have this record?’ I’m like, ‘Well, Michael, let me just read you some lyrics… Muthaf-cka, muthaf-cka. And do you know what that is on the cover? That’s a marijuana leaf.” The deal cost $4 million. He says: ‘We can’t!’ I’m like, ‘That’s why he’s not on the label.’”

dr Dre is now a billionaire and he made it all without Disney. Should he have accepted the deal?
