Last week, MTO reported that Drake was arrested in Sweden for possession of marijuana.
According to Scandinavia’s biggest hip-hop platforms, Drake and his bodyguard were “arrested” in Sweden, Stockholm, during a private party at nightclub Berns. There was no confirmed reason why he was taken into custody.
The day after, his team denied that he had been arrested.
“Drake is in his hotel room and has not been arrested,” the statement said.
But on his Instagram, Drizzy appeared to confirm he’d been arrested.
Drake shared a police document about Sweden entitled “Information for people suspected of a crime and subsequently arrested”.
Drake has said nothing further about his time in Sweden. The document explains Drake’s rights under Swedish law, similar to Miranda’s rights, to persons suspected of crimes in the United States
The document adds that arrested persons “may receive the assistance of a defense attorney, who may be paid by the state under certain conditions” and that he “may receive the assistance of an interpreter during interrogation, if necessary.”
