Drake hints at retirement from music
Drake says he’s considering retiring from music and retiring forever.
“I think I’m at the point now where I just want to like — I feel like we might have talked about it the other day. I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept of a graceful exit into my head,” he said in an interview with Lil Yachty.
Things have changed since last August, when he told Nicki Minaj he wasn’t ready to leave the music business just yet.
“I’m not at the point where I even think that’s an option. One of the most beautiful feelings of my life is to finish a song or a project. And by the way, these things hurt too. A lot of nervousness, a lot of self-confidence fluctuates,” he said at the time.
“But I feel like I’m reaching a new level of fun. I’ve reached a new level of comfort where I want to try things. Like that last album, I put out something that I wanted to challenge myself with.”
