Drexel Hill fire: Multiple rescues reported after blaze at Llanerch Place Apartments

DREXEL HILL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Firefighters were called to tackle a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in Drexel Hill, Delaware County.

The fire was reported at the Llanerch Place Apartments in Block 3200 of Township Line Road just before 9pm on Saturday.

Smoke was reportedly coming from the west wing of the complex and there were reports of people being trapped.

According to the latest knowledge from the scene, almost a dozen people were saved.

It was not announced whether other people were trapped or injured.

Firefighters could be seen in the area of ​​the apartment building.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
