Driver left fuming at ‘inconsiderate’ parking – but people are divided

A FURIOUS local slammed a driver for their “inconsiderate” parking on a busy Scots street – but people were divided.
A picture shared online shows a car sitting in the middle of a double permit holders parking bay on a street in Edinburgh.
But the motor was stopped in such a way that there was no space for another vehicle to park on either side of it.
And locals were left fuming after the driver took up at least two spaces on a street where people struggle to leave their cars.
The photo was posted on Reddit with the caption: “What to say in a note to this driver?”
And someone who stays on the street added: “That’s my street! My partner’s pet peeve is the inconsiderate/inefficient parking he spots.

“He’s also trying to figure out a way to let these people know they need to do better. We always really struggle to find a space!”
Users flocked to the comments to agree with the poster and gave suggestions on what they could write in a note.
One person said: “What about ‘Please park with some consideration for your neighbours you selfish c***’.”
Another suggested: “You are aware that there are other people in this planet, right?”
Someone else added: “I usually go with ‘Sure you’ve got enough space dickhead?'”
While a fourth politely recommended: “Just a polite note pointing out that ‘with care two cars can park here. Your friendly neighbours will really appreciate it’ and a smiley face.”
But the parking split opinion – with some people jumping to defend the unknown driver saying no note should be left.
A user hit back: “Nothing. Mind your own business. There are a number of reasons they could be parked that way.”
A second chimed in: “There could have been a cycle parked to the right, there could have been a Smart Car parked to the left when the target vehicle parked.
“There could have been delivery drivers unloading a side-by-side fridge freezer in either space.
“Unless you know for certain the owner parked like that when he had the place to himself, you can’t really say nuttin’. You cannot presume this”.
Another commented: “You could and should write an apology for being a curtain twitcher.”

And a fourth pointed out: “Nothing. There could have been a motorcycle parked on the right edge and you have no idea.”
Elsewhere, we told how tourists hit out at a motorhome driver over their “selfish” parking on the North Coast 500 route – but not everyone agrees.
