The video, titled “What!! Who knew?” shows what looks like a small plug being removed from the door and water pouring out.

An off-screen voice says, “Please empty your doors. Dump your doors folks…come on.”

Along with the video, the poster wrote: “This is my sister’s car that sounded like it had water in it!

Many commenters were obviously surprised by the engine tip, and many questioned whether it was genuine.

One said: “I can’t tell if this is real or if you’re all playing along.

Although another replied: “It’s very real that sometimes you also need to dump the rails of your chassis.”

One wrote: “I swear I’m learning something new every day!”

A second added: “What… how come I’ve never heard of this before???”

The real problem, however, are the so-called drainage holes.

When it rains or when you wash your car, water can seep through the window seals and into the doors and needs to drain out through the drainage holes on the underside.

But those holes on the underside of your doors can become clogged with dirt or gravel and debris from the road over time.

Failure to clean them can increase the risk of rusting and possible electrical problems with components in the door panel over time.

If you are unlucky, the repair can cost quite a bit.

Most drain holes are on the underside of doors, although they can be found in other places as well.

According to the automotive site Cars. comMany vehicles have drain pans in the rocker panels and rear quarter panels, both of which are near the doors.

Vehicles may also have drain holes located under the windshield and near the trunk to prevent water from pooling in these areas.

To see if you might have a clog, run a hose over certain parts of your car.

When you spray the windshield, trunk, and doors, check that the water is draining properly.

If it’s slowly accumulating or draining, you probably have a blockage.

The high-pressure sprays from a car wash or even a regular garden hose can be enough to blast the dirt out of the drain holes.

However, if you have a problem, you can always ask for the drain holes to be cleaned when you bring your car in for service.
