Dwayne Wade’s transgender daughter, Zaya Wade, went to a winter festival at her elite Los Angeles private school — and she looked stunning.
Media Take Out learned that Gabby had decided to share pictures of her stepdaughter on the momentous occasion.
Dwyane Wade and Zaya’s mother, Siovaughn Wade, find themselves in the middle of a bitter court battle. Dwyane is asking a court to legally change the gender of 15-year-old Zaya – from male to female.
Legally changing the gender of a child has a number of implications, for example if Zaya’s gender is changed to ‘female’ she may undergo gender reassignment surgery.
Siovaughn Wade, a devout Christian, doesn’t want the court to change Zaya’s perspective. According to Siuvaughn, who has made her feelings clear in legal documents. She believes that Dwyane and his new wife, Gabrielle Union, are pressuring the child to make life-changing decisions. Siovaugnn claims that Dwyane and Gabrielle are exploiting Zaya’s “transgender” status for clout and financial gain.
However, Dwyane and Gabrielle are committed to fighting Siovaughn in court and getting Zaya to be legally recognized as a woman. In her latest post, Gabrielle writes, “Any challenge, we’re going 10 toes down. Always.”
