E3 2023 will be run by the team behind the PAX gaming events

The executives of some of the biggest gaming events in the US are now about to host the biggest of them all. ReedPop, organizer of various PAX events as well as New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration, was hired to produce next year’s E3. In a statement, the Electronic Software Association said it is targeting its long-awaited return to the LA Convention Center in the second week of June 2023.

ESA had already pledged that next year’s E3 would return as a hybrid event after COVID-19 disrupted plans for the past two years. ReedPop may also have to address how best to revitalize an event as celebrated as the gambling industry’s premier showcase, whose influence may now be waning. After all, both Sony and Nintendo have diluted their commitments over the years, preferring to launch products through their own channels.
