Eagles pep rallies kick of NFC Championship weekend in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — We’re only two days away from game day, so what better way to start the weekend than with an Eagles cheer rally in South Philadelphia.
“To support our team, we love the Eagora…we’re going to play our game and dominate the 49ers,” exclaimed twin sisters Giada and Sophia Ramos.
From the pep band to the cheerleaders and swoop, but it was legends Jeremiah Trotter and Hugh Douglas that really got the crowd pumping.
Chickies & Pete’s was packed with fans dressed up in their best Eagles gear.
“When we do it, that’s how we do it. We give it all. Our team gives it all for us, so we give it all for them,” said sisters Donna Stevens-Thornton and Lesley Stevens.
Fans also packed McSorley’s in Havertown.
“What I want is to play Andy. I have a lot of respect for Andy and it would be an epic fight to have him play against the Eagles,” said Wynnewood’s Frank Burgos.
The man of the hour, however, was former Eagles tight end Brent Celek.
“It’s hard for any team to come to the Linc and beat the Eagles, especially with our talent and strength. I like our chances,” Celek said.
He knows firsthand what it’s like to be in the shoes of a player.
“Just do your job. Everyone has their own job, focus on your job and do it the best you can and things will work out,” Celek said.
