Elon Musk Proposes Starlink Access in Iran as Protests Spread

Elon Musk said his Starlink satellite internet system will seek an exemption from sanctions to make its service available in Iran, an apparent attempt to increase access to outside information in the country as protests spread.

Mr. Musk, founder of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., known as SpaceX, went ahead with the suggestion Twitter at the request of Erfan Kasraie, who describes himself as a Persian-speaking journalist and PhD student. Mr Kasraie tweeted that such access would mark “a game changer for the future”.
