Elon Musk Sets Account to Private in Latest Twitter Experiment

Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced He made his Twitter account private early Wednesday to determine the lengagement receive his tweets.
musk took the decision after Ian Miles Cheong, a right-wing commentator and regular rebel tweeted that he made his account private on Tuesday and noticed that in private mode he got more likes and views on his posts. He said the results showed that the same tweet received more engagement when his account was private than the same tweet when it was public.
Cheong Posted The results of his experience showed that a tweet he posted publicly received 11,000 views, while the same tweet garnered 28.3,000 views while the account was private. Musk responded to Cheong’s post, telling him the results were “extremely concerning” and announcing that he would conduct his own experiment.
musk wrote in a Twitter post“Made my account private until tomorrow morning to test if you see my private tweets more often than my public ones.” The change only means Musk’s 127 million Followers can see his posts.
Only followers of private Twitter accounts can see the user’s tweets or must send a follow request to see the posts. By default, when users sign up for a Twitter account, the posts are set to public, allowing anyone to interact with and view the account’s tweets. TTo change the account to private, the user can change their profile to private in their account settings.

Once the account is set to private, Twitter users must submit a request to follow the account, which can then be accepted or declined by the account owner. However, existing followers will still have access to the tweets until the account owner blocks them.
