Emmerdale stars make money from secret side hustles – some are charging fans £47 for a message

EMMERDALE stars have made a profit from ‘secret’ side hustles as some charge £47 for a personal message.
A number of actors from the long-running ITV soap opera have turned to selling the video messages.
Stars like Lisa Riley, Charlotte Bellamy and Matthew Wolfenden have all signed up for the special platform.
It allows fans of the Emmerdale cast to pay a fee in exchange for their own message of their favorite characters.
The Mirror reports that Lisa, 47, who plays Mandy Dingle, and James Moore, 30, who plays Ryan Stocks, are charging £47 a video.
Jay Kontzle, 33, who plays Billy Fletcher, is also at the service, charging £39 for a hello.
David Metcalfe’s Matthew Wolfenden is offering a modest £35 per video.
Daisy Campbell and Roxy Shahidi are also said to have signed up to the platform recently.
It comes as Jeff Hordley recently revealed he has another job when he’s not filming the Yorkshire-based ITV soap.
Jeff has been in Emmerdale for two decades as the show’s resident bad boy, Cain Dingle – but it seems that he has another side to him.
In a recent interview with Lorraine Kelly, Jeff revealed that in addition to acting, he’s DJing as a side hustle in case his character gets kicked out of the ITV soap opera.
The 52-year-old told Lorraine he will be performing at both Manchester and Charlton in the summer.
To find out more about his musical talents, the ITV presenter asked if he plays different types of music at events.
He replied, “Yeah, I mean, it’s kind of soul, funk, reggae, old ’60s stuff, basically everything, but that was my unemployed acting job.”
Emmerdale is broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX.
