Epiclight Beauty products to be featured in gift bags for top Oscar nominees

GREENWICH, Connecticut– Two local women are living proof that with passion and desire you can achieve almost anything, including taking an idea from preschool to the Oscars.

Epiclight Beauty co-founders Saima Rathor and Patricia Gallardo are busy packing and shipping boxes from a home in Greenwich, Connecticut, to the Oscar nominees’ doors.

It is a project that was an affair of the heart.

“I think Saima almost cried, it’s very exciting, we’re still pinching each other,” said Gallardo.

The two met 15 years ago in New York City while taking their children to preschool.

With backgrounds in the beauty industry and finance, the ladies wanted to try something new about five years ago and hit the road.

“It was daunting to tackle this huge project, but it was exciting,” said Gallardo.

On October 18, 2022, Epiclight Beauty was officially launched.

Her team of six women focuses on developing multipurpose products for different skin tones, which are also enriched with skincare ingredients.

For the first time, her creation will be included in gift bags for the likes of Cate Blanchett, Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Colin Farrell and Brendan Fraser.

The ladies told Eyewitness News reporter Kemberly Richardson that they were still in disbelief.

“I really believe that when you’re authentic and you’re doing what you want to do, things just happen,” Rathor said.

The Everyone Wins Nominee Gift Bags are special and reserved for the top 28 Oscar nominees.

Right now, Rathor and Gallardo are busy developing more products that focus on Gen X women while staying true to one of their mantras: “We see you because we are you.”

“If you have a dream, just do it, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” Rathor said.
