Europe Investigates Unexplained Leaks in Nord Stream Gas Pipelines

BERLIN – European authorities are investigating mysterious leaks from two currently closed Russian natural gas pipelines to Germany, raising concerns about the security of critical energy infrastructure.

The leaks were discovered after pressure in the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which connect Russia’s productive gas fields to Germany’s industrial heartland, suddenly dropped on Monday.
