Europe’s most dominant Dota 2 pub player breaks the leaderboard

Hopeful Dota 2 players are trying to prove themselves on the leaderboard and grab the top spot to get noticed by a top team, but thanks to Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov, there were no open spots in the European region.
Not only has Watson held on to first place throughout 2023, but he has also just secured second place in the European Cup Dota 2 Ranking. With two accounts exceeding the MMR cap, Watson recently achieved an impressive Dota 2 milestone in a second region during TI 2023. While participating in the event, the star carry player’s second account took the top spot on the North American leaderboard. As a result, Watson had two ranked accounts at the same time.
With TI 2023 now over and Watson back in Europe, he began playing ranked games on the European server again, which resulted in his secondary account being moved back to the EU leaderboards. During this migration, Watson’s second account reached second place in the rankings.

At the time of writing, Watson is ranked both first and second in the European rankings Dota 2 Leaderboard. A famous quote from Kuroko no basketDaiki Aomine says, “The only one who can beat me is me,” a statement that resonates with Watson Dota 2 as he continues to push the game’s leaderboard to its limits.
Despite conquering the leaderboards, Watson failed to win a major trophy in his competitive career. Although the ranking sensation made it to TI 2023 with Entity, the team was eliminated at the start of the tournament, as was the case at Riyadh Masters 2023. The team recently missed out on taking part in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 as Team Secret defied all doubts to make an impressive run in the lower bracket.
