Every Journey Leads Home is a game starring a dog in space

Just today, developers Longterm Games and Enjoy Studio unveiled a new 2.5-D platformer in the form of The tail of space: Every journey leads home. At first glance, this game clearly evokes the visual aesthetic of titles like Ori and the Blind Forest, but this does not mean that it will not have its own identity. The premise of the game, which sees an ordinary astronaut dog explore the alien world, is sure to appeal to dog-loving players and a more relaxed gaming experience. If Cosmic tail sounds like a fun game to you, please check out the weird announcement trailer below.

According to a press release, Cosmic tail inspired by real-life animals who went to space before humans. The film stars Bea, who must explore the unknown using more of her natural senses. She may not have any superpowers, but her senses still allow her to enter “detective mode” that can guide players and help them avoid threats. She also has two allies in the form of Comet Rose and 8088Y, who aid her in solving puzzles and influencing the game’s ending.

Explore like a dog, talk like a dog

Along with these companions, Bea is also able to communicate with other extraterrestrial beings during her adventures. These creatures include both friendly and not-so-friendly faces, but in a way, Space Tail’s Dialogue system allows the player to help Bea interact with them. This dialogue system simulates the dog’s real-life behavior and the player needs to make effective use of their dialogue options, lest there are undesirable consequences.

Cosmic tail Self-promotion is a story-driven game, so players can expect to experience many heartfelt and emotional moments as they progress through it. For now, the developers just state that Cosmic tail is coming this fall, so we have to wait a little longer until they reveal when we can fly into stars.
