Everything we know about Netflix’s neo-noir crime thriller Reptile

Netflix released several great movies this year, but more are on the way! Grant Singer makes his directorial debut in the upcoming David Fincher-esque neo-noir crime thriller reptile, starring Justin Timberlake, Frances Fisher, Benicio Del Toro, Alicia Silverstone and more. Singer shares screenwriting with Del Toro and Benjamin Brewer.

Prior to directing this film, Singer was primarily involved in directing music videos and commercials. Artists he has worked with include Sam Smith, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.

reptile Benicio Del Toro plays a detective tasked with the case of a murdered real estate agent. As he delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers that all is not as it seems, breaking some of the illusions about his own life in the process. Del Toro meets him again Excess baggage Co-star Alicia Silverstone here. The couple plays a married couple in the film.

reptile is coming to Netflix Friday October 6th.

Netflix Reptile plot synopsis

Netflix hasn’t released the film’s official synopsis yet, but they did release a logline that director Grant Singer recently chatted with EW to allow an exclusive first look at the film. Singer says his goal is crafting reptile was to experiment with the subject of deception.

He wanted to approach this idea in a variety of ways and create a film that would leave audiences guessing. Singer relishes ambiguity and owes his inspiration to filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and Stanley Kubrick.

Here’s what he said in his interview to EW:

“I think the film will be exciting for people who like to see something where you don’t know where it’s going, where a film has twists and turns and deceives you. And people who like things that are intense, instinctive and exciting, I think they’re going to find something exciting in it.”

reptile begins with the brutal murder of a young real estate agent. Benicio Del Toro plays a hardened detective tasked with solving a case where nothing is as it seems.

After the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, a hardened detective tries to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems, shattering the illusions in his own life.

Cast of Netflix Reptile

As mentioned above, reptile Cast is a talented cast including Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro, Frances Fisher, Alicia Silverstone and Justin Timberlake.

Del Toro portrays grizzled detective Tom Nichols, a man who, after so many years in his field, is used to many of the horrors he sees on the job. But his most recent case, the murder of a young real estate agent, forces him to reconsider everything he thought he knew about his life. In this case, nothing is as it seems.

Silverstone plays Del Toro’s longtime wife, while Timberlake plays a character named Will Grady.
