Nicki Minaj is pregnant — and she plans to let the world know about it this Sunday, Media Take Out has learned.

As we reported last month, Nicki and her husband, entertainment executive Kenneth Petty, are expecting their second child. And now, we’ve spoken to someone close to Nicki, who tells us the legendary hip-hop artist is planning to announce her pregnancy to the world at the Grammys.

2023 was a huge comeback longing for Nicki Minaj. The singer landed her first solo at Billboard No. 1 with “Super Freaky Girl.” 1 and received the Vanguard Music Award at the 2022 VMAs.

Unfortunately, the Grammys took advantage of Nicki — to prevent her from getting the nomination — and award — she deserved.

In October, as the first round of Grammys ballots rolled out to members, Nicki took to Twitter to slam the Recording Academy for moving “Super Freaky Girl” from the rap category to the pop category and Nicki’s work seemed to be on a different level than other pop rap songs.

In tweets, Nicki pointed out that if they wanted to categorize “Super Freaky Girl” as pop, they should have done the same with Latto’s song “Big Energy.”

“I have no problem being lifted out of the RAP category as long as we are ALL treated FAIR. If SFG (‘Super Freaky Girl’) pulled 2B out of RAP, so did Big Energy! ANYONE who says diff is just a Nicki hater or a troll,” she tweeted.

Nicki later explained in a video that she felt these changes were purposeful: “I always say, every rapper, male or female, who wins a Grammy should be proud of themselves as damn. But why is the goalpost only moved when it’s Nicki? Well I’ll tell you why. They don’t want the people that they have in the industry to compete against me.”

Minaj was now completely banned from the 2023 Grammys with “Super Freaky Girl,” her biggest charting song in a while, and got nothing.
