Prosecutors allege that witnesses in the case against Young Thug were threatened.
The Fulton County Superior Court Judge, Ural Glanville, issued the restraining order citing “numerous threats to kill or harm witnesses.” Now the defense can’t give the rapper details from witnesses.
Well, witnesses claim “that they fear not only for their own lives but also for those of their families should they testify.”
Thugger’s attorney, Brian Steel, denied the allegations, claiming Thugger “never intimidated or threatened any witness.”
He added, “However, I cannot wait to receive the discovery so that we can continue our march to free an innocent man.”
Young Thug and 27 others, including Atlanta rapper Gunna, have been charged with using Georgia’s RICO Act. Prosecutors allege that Young Slime Life, or YSL, is a subgroup of the street gang Bloods.
Young Thug and Gunna both deny the allegations, saying YSL is nothing more than a record label.
