Feds Want R. Kelly Sentenced To Minimum Of 25 Yrs In Prison!!
Federal prosecutors are urging R. Kelly to be sentenced to at least 25 years in prison.
They also recommended that Kelly be fined between $50,000 and $250,000. They allege Kelly had a “callous disregard for the very real impact his crimes had on his victims” and that his crimes spanned decades.
Kelly is scheduled to be sentenced on June 29.
“While the government doubts that the accused will be deterred, a lengthy prison sentence will serve to deter others – including those with wealth, fame and the outsized power that such status brings – from engaging in similar crimes.” , according to the court documents.
“This is particularly true given the notoriety of the defendant and the likelihood that the length of his sentence will be widely publicized,” she added.
Kelly was found guilty on all counts by a jury in his New York racketeering trial.
A jury of seven men and five women found Kelly guilty on all nine counts, including racketeering.
