And so are the items Maddi (@peachyymaddi) highlighted on one of her trips to Dollar Tree.
The TikTok video is part of her Buy this not that series, in which she gives her opinion on items sold in stores.
With more than 464,000 followers currently, here are some of the items Maddi recommends buying and avoiding.
WHAT TO BUY
Maddi was able to cast a positive light on utensils in particular.

She divided different varieties into four levels.
Her favorites, for example, are the nylon utensils, which she describes as “God’s rank”.
Dollar Tree has a variety of nylon spoons, spatulas, and spatulas that you can buy.
“These will outlive your grandchildren,” Maddi said.
But keep in mind that there haven’t been many reviews for the nylon paraphernalia online.
But a five-star review on a ladle read, “Great ladle. Pretty tough! Great for soups and sauces.”
But as always, compare prices.
For example, Walmart usually sells a nylon spoon made by Mainstays for $1.17 — but is currently on sale for 97 cents.
Not only does it beat Dollar Tree’s price of $1.25, but customers rate the product 4.5 stars out of five.
Also, Maddi has a favorable look at the bamboo and metal utensils.
She refers to both as “permanent” options at Dollar Tree.

Another kitchen utensil that Maddi loves for its durability are the smaller colanders sold at the store.
“These screens will outlast your ‘great, great, great, great, great grandchildren,'” Maddi said.
She added, “I promise you.”
A fan in Maddi’s comments section said: “Dollar Tree had these screens FOREVER!!! I remember buying my mum one for Christmas 15 years ago when I was a kid and she still uses it.”
But Walmart sells a Mainstays strainer for $1.07, and the product is rated 4.4 stars out of five.
And as Memorial Day and the 4th of July approaches, Maddie recommends buying metal decor.
“It will be more durable and last longer,” she said.
In Maddi’s video, she showed off several metal butterfly signs.
WHAT TO AVOID
But of course it’s not worth buying everything at Dollar Tree.
In particular, Maddi recommends avoiding the patriotic gnome farm stakes intended to serve as decorations for the Fourth of July.

“Let me tell you right now – that’s not going to do it,” Maddi said.
“In terms of weatherproofing – these aren’t.”
Dollar Tree shoppers online rate the patriotic gnomes 3.7 stars out of five.
One two-star review read: “I loved these patriotic gnomes but was shocked at how quickly the colors faded. Didn’t even last until Memorial Day.”
Also, Maddi doesn’t have a positive opinion of one of McCormick’s avocado tools.
“It didn’t work, it didn’t convince me,” she said.
And there is only one review left online of the avocado tool – and let’s just say the customer won’t buy it again.
The one-star review read, “My wife thought this would help me cut avocados. Buy it, it only helps increase blood pressure. It doesn’t remove cores.”
To make the best buying decision for yourself, make sure you compare features along with prices and ratings.
