Five things I’d never have in my home as a professional cleaner – a trendy favorite takes hours to scrub

A PROFESSIONAL cleaner has revealed five things she’ll never have in her home.
For her, they took too much effort and time to clean.
One of them includes a trendy favorite that requires constant attention to keep it shiny and spotless.
Long hours cleaning houses in the trenches helped Victoria (@pocketrockets cleaning) distill her list.
“I have a cleaning company so I will say five things that I wouldn’t have in my house from a cleaning standpoint.
“As a professional cleaner, I find it a bit annoying,” she said.
First on her list is the circular shower, and they can’t say Victoria: “It took me two and a half hours to clean one in a client’s house.”
Flat screen showers can be inked easily enough but not so on circular showers.
“It’s really hard to [squidge] on a circle. The rails underneath are heavily scaled,” she adds, “and it’s very hard to clean them because of it, even with a toothbrush, so I’ll never have them.”
Next up are horizontal blinds that are notoriously difficult to clean.
“They attract a lot of dust and they are really time consuming and difficult to clean,” the cleaning expert wrote.
She has a confession to her third fashion item: she actually has one, but isn’t happy with it.
“A matte black refrigerator. It appears on every brand. Whenever someone takes something out of the fridge, there’s a fingerprint where they got it. That’s not the case on the white fridge.”
The dizzy hallways with light out of reach made her very uncomfortable.
“Some customers [have] there’s fancy lighting on the stairs, it’s all good and nice and looks great, except it’s unreachable and so to clean it is an absolute nightmare.
“The ladder does not reach.” Chandeliers are also a nuisance, she says: “They are dust collectors. Unless you’re going to take them down and clean every stone, they’re a must for me.”
Finally, her rage goes to the high-gloss floor tiles commonly found in kitchens and bathrooms.
“They show everything, every footprint, every smudge, every crumb, and it’s really hard to keep it shiny,” she complains.
Commenters to her post concurred with her shortlist.
“As a freelancer, I totally agree with you on these things,” the fan said.

This homeowner was fed up with his appliance: “My fridge is silver and no joke, I’ve spent my life cleaning finger marks. It is a full time job. Never again,” she said exasperatedly.
The commenter ended up saying she got the hang of it: “I have all of these except the bricks and agree with everything you say.”
