Flavor Flav reveals how much he spent on his drug addiction
Flavor Flav, who is now sober, opened up about his past drug habit and revealed how much he spent on drugs every day.
“I kind of held my own very well while I was on that shit. Not only that, I also kept it hidden. So a lot of people didn’t really know. They tried to find out. ‘Is he onto something?’ Because I never really let people know what I was doing,” Flav said on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast.
Flav once says he spent thousands of dollars a day.
He continued, “I started letting people know what I was doing when I got tired of being like that. There comes a point in life when you get tired of doing shit. Mainly if it doesn’t give you space. There was a time when I was spending $2,400 to $2,600 a day for six years. you do the math I spent that much on drugs. I won’t lie, I’ve sold a lot. But I was my best customer. I had a lot. I had a lot of money back then too. I did wrong with my money. So I guess God wanted me to live. And he knows that I am a mouthpiece for the world. So I felt like God helped me get through this so I can enlighten people about the mistake I made. And hopefully they won’t make them later in life.”
