Flume is slated to return to his native Australia in November to support his upcoming third studio album, ‘Palaces’, due out this Friday (May 20).
The tour, announced today (May 18), is largely scheduled for arenas and outdoor venues in most capital cities. Performances are also set to showcase a rotating roster of national and international acts of support – including collaborators Caroline Polachek and Toro Y Moi. The first sang Flume’s song ‘Sirens’, one of the singles from ‘Palaces’, while the latter was a collaborator on ‘The Difference’ 2020.
The tour will also feature rapper/producer Channel Tres, who was also part of Flume’s North American tour dates. Locally, singers Vera Blue and MAY-A will also appear on different dates of the tour.
Blue sang on Flume’s 2019 single ‘Rushing Back’, a Top Ten hit in Australia. Meanwhile, rookie MAY-A will make a guest appearance to sing “Say Nothing,” the lead single from “Palaces,” at four of the six shows.
Below is a complete list of tour dates as well as lineups for each show.
The ‘Palaces’ tour will mark Flume’s first performance in Australia since 2019, when he topped the Listen Out festival. His last major tour was in late 2016, in support of his second album ‘Skin’. Prior to the tour’s announcement, Flume was announced as the frontrunner for the upcoming Milk Spills festival in late November and early December.
The producer performed at Coachella last month, where he was joined by a number of special guests – including Damon Albarn, Beck, Vince Staples and the aforementioned Polachek. Albarn will appear on two songs ‘Palaces’, including the already released title track.
Tickets for Flume’s tour go on sale next Thursday (May 26). Tickets and pre-sale information for each show are available on the Frontier Touring website.
