Food truck explodes at Florida seafood festival

Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – State and local authorities are investigating a food truck explosion during a seafood festival in Vero Beach, Florida on Saturday.

According to a Facebook post from the Vero Beach Police Department, one person was taken to the Orlando hospital burn unit with severe burns.

Employees said the food truck was a vendor at this weekend’s seafood festival held in Riverside Park.

The Indus River County Fire Rescue and state fire police office investigators were called to the scene to collect evidence. No other injuries.

In a series of photos released by the ministry, the roof and walls of the food truck appear to have been blown off after the explosion. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the explosion.

The Seafood Festival continues as scheduled.
