The first grain shipment to leave Ukraine’s main Black Sea ports since the Russian invasion is expected to dock in Tripoli, Lebanon this week, the country where food inflation is at its highest in the world, completing a test run for an international deal to ease the global food crisis.

The ship, which is transporting more than 26,000 tons of corn, is making the first delivery under the United Nations-brokered grain export deal, and its imminent arrival in Lebanon underscores the deal’s importance to poorer nations.
