Forgotten ex-Premier League star, 31, targeted by Everton and Sheffield United after rejecting Saudi transfer

PREMIER LEAGUE duo Everton and Sheffield United are monitored by Pajtim Kasami.
Kasami has been a free agent since June when his contract with Olympiacos expired.
SunSport believe the versatile midfielder has made the Toffees and Blades shortlists.
This comes after the 31-year-old turned down lucrative offers from two clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The former Switzerland international turned down a push from Slaven Bilic’s Al-Fateh.
Kasami also decided against moving to Al-Riyadh, joining some of the biggest names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante now playing in the Saudi Pro League.
Instead, the Swiss star is prioritizing a return to the Premier League before the September 1 summer transfer window hits.
And a return could be a reality as both Everton and Sheffield United are keen.
Kasami made his debut in the English top flight in 2011 when he joined Fulham from Palermo.
The central midfielder, who can also play as a playmaker and number six, spent three years with the Cottagers, amassing 56 appearances and a memorable striker against Crystal Palace in 2013.

During his debut spell at Olympiacos in 2016, Kasami also spent a season on loan in the Championship with Nottingham Forest.
He recorded two goals and two assists in 27 games for Forest.
The former Basel star returned to the Greek giants at the end of last season, scoring two goals and one assist in 16 games.
