Former Indiana Pacers player points out Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s turnover troubles as a recipe for disaster for Celtics

After ending the streak with a win in Game 2, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics returned to their home turf with a chance to take the lead. Despite falling 15 points after halftime, the Celtics managed to keep things interesting for extended periods of time. But in the end, the Heat won game 3 with an overall score of 109-103.

One factor that played a big part in the Celtics’ decline was revenue. In total, Boston squeezed the ball 23 times in the 3rd Half. What made things worse was that the majority of these goals came from star Celtics players.

Jayson Tatum played amazingly in these playoffs, but worked hard in Game 3. He only scored 10 points and tackled 6 times. Jaylen Brown was a phenomenon in his 40-point save, but committed seven turns on his own.

A team can’t serve as much in the post-season and hope to win. After this careless display with basketball, Jalen Rose was disqualified from the Boston All-Stars.

“But this is something I want to make sure to also show for Tatum and Brown. Too many spins, having 23 spins is one thing. It’s a killer for your team when the other team takes 19 steals.”

Jayson Tatum must step up if Boston Celtics will make it to the NBA Finals

After leading Boston during the knockout stages, Jayson Tatum fell to Miami in game 3. As the team’s best player, performances like these are hard to come by.

Simply put, the Celtics need more from Jayson Tatum if they plan to advance to the NBA Finals. Miami wasn’t about to roll, and they showed it in Game 3. The All-Star forward couldn’t give in to the tough and athletic defense the Heat played.

The post-season is an opportunity for the players to strengthen themselves as superstars. We’re already starting to see Jayson Tatum in that category, but tough nights like the one he faced in Game 3 have taken a toll on his case.

Going forward, the pressure is not only on Jayson Tatum but also the Boston Celtics. Now they are in must win territory as they don’t want to be beaten 3-1 by Miami in the series. Taking care of basketball should be their top priority, but getting Tatum back on the track will be crucial if the Celtics don’t want their post-season league to end.
