Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty were known as The Rockers during their time as a tag team in WWE. The former The Pope superstar sees The Street Profits in the same role as The Rockers. He believes that they will soon part ways and one will have a much bigger career.
Street Profit is a former SmackDown and RAW Tag Team champion. However, they didn’t engage in any major feuds of late. They constantly drift in and out of the tagged team’s championship picture.
Pope, formerly known as Elijah Burke, spoke about the team on his podcast The Pope’s View. He thinks the two are not yet used to their potential. Speaking of their future in WWE, he sees a split coming:
“I can see them, believe it or not, in the role of The Rockers right now. And I think we’ll soon see a separation from The Street Profits. And one that’s going to move on and have a break. karma is greater than the other.” (from 48:00 to 48:48)
His Polo Del Mar co-host points out that they have said they consider Montez Ford a future champion. The Pope further joked that if Ford wants to be a big single star, he needs to work out his leg muscles and muscles.
Shawn Michaels Becomes A Much Bigger Star After The Rockers Break Up
Former WWE Champion Shawn Michaels rose to prominence when he teamed up with Jannety. The duo has won team championships and is one of the most popular teams in the company. However, after Michaels rejected Jannetty, he went on to have a successful solo career while Jannetty sank into oblivion.
Some reports indicate that WWE wanted to split the profits of The Street Profits but decided to delay its plan. Montez Ford is considered one of WWE’s most charismatic superstars, and the company has high hopes on him.
