Fortnite seems to be teasing a Season 2 event

Epic Games has revealed a new trailer for something coming soon Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, and it can only hint at the return of Team Leader Mecha.

A post on Fortnite The Twitter account has revealed a 16-second teaser, which largely shows a distorted sound wave before revealing a logo that is almost certainly Team Leader Mecha.

For the uninitiated, Team Leader Mecha is a type of giant robotic bear piloted by Singularity in an epic fight in 2019. Team Leader Mecha won the fight, before exploding into space. Never come back. Until now…

You can check out the short trailer below. Listen carefully and you will hear recordings of some kind of battle. It is likely to lie between IO and The Seven, and could herald the return of the ursine mechanic.

Fortnite seasons usually end with an event or some sort. As of 2019, live events have become hugely popular, so it’s likely that Season 2 will end with a big bang. Given the season’s themes, it looks like we’ll see the ultimate showdown between The Seven and IO.

Throughout Season 2, players were able to assist The Seven in eliminating IO forces across the map. Balloons have also been placed in the sky, filled with valuable loot and enemies to take down.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is scheduled to run until June 4, 2022.
