Fortnite update kicks off Sideways Showdown week and adds a new donation board

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 introduces a bunch of new content such as map changes and new mythical weapons. Since then, Epic Games has kept the season fresh with Star Wars celebrations, New Sound Series and more. When the Resistance won the war for the Leaning Tower, the latest Fortnite Updates have seen the launch of the week’s Sideways Showdown. Also, have your gold bars ready as a new donation board has landed on the island.

The Sideways weapon was first introduced to Fortnite back in Chapter 2: Season 8, which premiered last September. Since then, the Sideways weapon has become a distant memory, until now. Sideways Showdown Week has begun and has reintroduced the Sideways Rifle and Sideways Minigun. You can find these weapons as loot on the ground or in chests until Fortnite Sideways Showdown week ends on May 24th. Previously, Cube Monster parts were needed to upgrade Sideways weapons, but now you can do this at the upgrade bench. This week, there will be Sideways Showdown missions for you to earn more XP.

The Fortnite Update launched a new donation board

In addition, on the island there is a new battle: Shield Balloons vs Balloons. It’s time to visit a donation panel and voice your opinion on which items you’d like not to be stolen. The first option fully funded by gold bars will be immediately available for use.

If you’re a fan of Non-Building Mode, you may have noticed that the drop rate of utility items has increased for a short time. Now, Fortnite the update increased the drop rate of the Bull Catcher, Shock Grenades, and Rift-to-Go for good. As the war between IO and Resistance continues, you will need all the weapons and equipment needed to fight this war.

In other Fortnite news, Robocop is now available at the store.
