Four creative ways you could reuse a loo roll to help little ones stay active

Keeping kids busy during the summer holidays without splurging on money isn’t easy.
But there are plenty of items around the house that can be used to keep your little one’s mind active.
For example, toilet paper rolls can be used by children in many creative ways.
Here are a few ideas to try.
ON ONE ROLL: Even before toilet rolls are used, they can be given to children to play with.
If you buy them in bulk and have a good amount of money, they make great building blocks — little kids will enjoy building towers with them.
This is great for learning about how things balance — and how they can knock them down, too.
CREATE CHARACTERS: After the toilet paper roll has been used, keep the cardboard tube for crafts.
Draw them and create different faces that will keep the kids busy for as little as five minutes! Plus, it gives them something to play with afterwards.
Try crafting monsters and using other crafting items you have at home.
For example, you can stick pipe cleaners over the sides to create arms for them, and use pieces of old material on top for hair.
DROP TUBE: Try gluing toilet paper rolls to the wall with tape.
Connect them end to end to form long pipes (you can go straight down or go obliquely).
Place a basket underneath the last one and kids will love dropping a small ball, craft cotton balls or other objects through the toilet rolls.
If you have time, use pipes to create a more complex maze with multiple exits.
EASY POINTS: Stick several empty toilet paper rolls on the floor and write a different number on each roll.
Ask the child to stand back a little and toss a small ball or two-cent coin onto the reels.
You earn points written on the outside of the reels if they go in. Whoever has the highest final score wins.
