He told The Sun: “We’re discussing different things that we could do – whether we can do it is another story, but we’re talking about things.”

“I would love to do the First Dates Hotel in Negril, Jamaica, that would be great. I am sure there would be many people who would apply.”

He’s also working on other new projects that he “don’t want to talk about” at the moment, but he’s busy brainstorming: “There’s a lot of things I want to do. There is always something.”

Still, his family back in France will neither listen nor be impressed: “When shows are translated in France, she watches it, but my mother is not obsessed with it, I’m her son and she doesn’t give a damn.” . Just like she doesn’t watch my brother, a cancer researcher, at work. It’s just her son going to work and doing something.”

He also addressed using boxing to overcome his fear of public speaking: “Boxing really helped me when I was younger. I was always afraid to step into the ring before a fight.”

“I was sweating and scared, but once I started boxing, the fear went away.”

“So what I would tell myself if I did [public speaking] It was like boxing, so you just have fun and get into the rhythm of things.

“I’m too old now [to become professional], I won’t see the blows coming. But when I was younger, yeah – you had to be good and I wasn’t good enough.”

Fred also confirmed that he would be “moving on” with his travel show Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip.

His conversation took place in connection with a Beware of the Bugs campaign.
