Fredo Bang was called to the witness stand in YNW Melly’s trial. The rapper reportedly refused to answer several questions related to the trial.
According to court documents obtained by XXL, Judge Andrew L. Siegel denied prosecutors’ request to compel the rapper to answer questions related to Melly’s case after he repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination protection.
YNW Melly is on trial for the double murder of his friends Chris Thomas aka YNW Juvy and Anthony Williams aka YNW Sakchaser.
“I’m representing Mr. Fredrick Givens in The State of Florida vs. Jamell Demons,” Bang’s attorney, Dameka Davis, told XXL. “I represented Mr. Givens in his capacity as a witness. The state of Florida has not charged him with any crime. Mr. Givens exercised his right to remain silent and the court ultimately granted Mr. Givens’ motion. Mr. Givens has no intention of cooperating in the prosecution of this case, but Mr. Givens will comply fully with the law, both state and federal… We wish Jamell Demons the best and hope for a fair and impartial result in the resolution of his case.”
