Funeral to be held for murdered pregnant teacher Marelle Sturrock and unborn baby boy as family pays tribute

THE FUNERAL of pregnantnant Marelle Sturrock, murdered teacher should take place in two weeks.
Marelle, 35, was hit with a claw hammer from fiancé David Yates36, in her home in Glasgow before driving to a reservoir and killing himself last month.
The slaughter of the elementary school girl and her unborn son, who would have been named Jaydenmade experienced detectives sick.
Marelle, who was due to give birth in just six weeks, had enjoyed pizza with mateIt’s the night before the massacre and her baby shower was supposed to be two weeks ago.
And now her heartbroken family have confirmed the details of her funeral after sending an obituary to John O’Groat Journal.
The service is scheduled to take place at 12.30pm on Friday 26 May at Dundee Crematorium.
The invitation was extended to “all of Marelle’s family and friends.”
And the family confirmed that a celebration of Marelle’s life will also be held in their hometown of Wick, Caithness at a later date.
Her distraught family paid tribute to their “beloved daughter” and Marelle’s unborn son Jayden in their statement.
They wrote: “On Tuesday April 25, 2023, Marelle, aged 35, and her son-to-be, Jayden Sturrock.
“Beloved daughter of Colin and Lorna, dearly beloved sister of Clare and Sarah, dearly beloved granddaughter of Dorothy and the late Grant Sturrock, loving sister-in-law to Evan and Richard and a loving aunt.
“Funeral service at Dundee Crematorium on Friday 26 May at 12.30pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
“Family flowers only, please, but if desired, donations can be made to various children’s charities in the crematorium.”
“A celebration of Marelle’s life will be held in Wick at a later date.”
We previously explained how Police Scotland are examined by a guard dog about the circumstances leading up to Marelle’s murder.
She was found dead when concerned colleagues at Sandwood Primary in Penilee, Glasgow, alerted police after phoning her home when she failed to show up for work on Tuesday.
Colleagues were devastated I was struggling to keep up with the news of killing.
