The retired Scottish rugby union player openly admitted his diagnosis came as a “huge shock” as he has no symptoms.

He said, “I had a health check and sat down with the man and he said, ‘You’re fine, but your prostate is high.'”

“I was examined and within three or four months I had a biopsy.

“When I was told you had cancer, I literally fell over.

“Didn’t see it coming, no symptoms at all. I had to look for it.”

And now the couple – who have been married for 22 years – have revealed what’s going on in the bedroom following Kenny’s major surgery.

On Gabby’s podcast The Mid Point, he shared how his wife expected their sex life to get back on track immediately after the surgery.

He said, “You want things to happen immediately.”

“When we first tried to have sex after that [operation]Gabby said, “Oh it doesn’t work, that’s it, it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.”

“You didn’t even give me a chance. It actually caused my confidence to hit rock bottom. It was like ‘Oh my God’.”

“Every time I saw her in the bedroom, I would turn and walk out. Sometimes you just have to give a man a little time.”

Gabby replied, “Obviously, it was pretty tough at first.”
