The Galaxy has agreed to a multimillion-dollar sponsorship extension with Herbalife Nutrition, which will keep the nutritional supplement company on the front of the team’s jersey for three more seasons.
The Galaxy’s partnership with Herbalife dates back to 2005, making it the longest-running jersey sponsorship deal in the history of US professional team sports.
The company’s logo will continue to appear on the chest of the team’s primary and secondary jerseys, all training and general club apparel, Academy and Galaxy II jerseys, and select retail items, according to the company.
Herbalife will also provide the club with dedicated nutritionists and bespoke player nutrition programs.
As part of the extension, an additional $1.25 million will be donated to the Joint Partnership Fund, which promotes football, healthy lifestyles and nutrition education in underserved communities. Over the past decade, Galaxy and Herbalife have reportedly donated more than $2.5 million to communities in need around the world.
