The Galaxy (0-2-3) continued to push against the Sounders (4-1-1) for the last 30 minutes of the game but couldn’t find the equaliser.

Douglas Costa made his debut in 2023 after missing the first four games with a hamstring injury. The Galaxy continued to be without Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who is expected to feature in the team’s next game.
