Gamers rush to buy £35 game appearing in baskets for just £7 – fans say it was the ‘best arcade racer of the 2010s’

The price of the “best arcade racing game of the 2010s” has plummeted for Nintendo Switch owners and is hitting stores Baskets for just £6 instead of £35.
Released in November 2020, Hot Wheels classic Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered was a pandemic favorite for letting people relive their childhood at home.
The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console, which means you can use it both on your TV and on the go.
It can be played in all three of the Switch’s handheld, tabletop, and TV modes.
The EA title – from the makers of The Sims and Fifa games – lets players compete against up to eight opponents in online challenges.
“Hot Pursuit 2010 was the best arcade racing game of the 2010s and the remaster isn’t a bad start!” wrote one player metacritical.
Another wrote, “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is still a great game a decade later, but now it’s even better with the addition of modern multiplayer capabilities, improved graphics, and an extensive single-player campaign.”
However, some players have complained that the car’s handling can be sluggish and that the original price of £34.99 was too high.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, rated PEGI 7, is currently reduced by a staggering 80 percent from £34.99 to £6.99 Nintendo store.
However, the offer is only valid until Sunday (September 10).
As with all Switch games, players will need one Nintendo Account to download it.
Unlike the Xbox or PlayStation, this needs to be set up on your computer as it cannot be done through the console.
It’s important to note that you need to make sure you have enough disk space on the Switch console to complete the download.
This particular Hot Wheels franchise title will take up approximately 8345.00 MB of disk space to download.
The Nintendo Switch has limited internal storage, but it can be expanded by purchasing a microSD card.
A 128GB card is pretty essential if you mainly play digital games.
To install it, all you have to do is unfold and plug in the microSD panel at the bottom of the console.
