Here’s everything we know about the Mewtwo Tera seven-star raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

What is Mewtwo’s set? – Raids on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera

Not only does Mewtwo boast an amazing Special Attack stat of 154, but it also has one of the largest attack pools in the game.

His defense doesn’t have any real weaknesses either, as it has good mass on both the Special and Physical sides.

Additionally, its signature move, Psystrike, targets the physical defenses of both Pokémon, meaning you’ll need to counter with great strength on both sides.

Aura Sphere is likely a move to counter Dark-types, while Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball can counter Ghost-types.

While Unnerve probably doesn’t play a role here, it’s important to note that berries like Sitrus don’t work here.

Here is Mewtwo’s set from the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raids.

Which Pokemon can counter Mewtwo? – Raids on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera

As a Psychic-type Pokémon, Dark, Bug, and Ghost-type moves can counteract its incredible strength.

You’ll also need good mass on both sides and a way to boost your stats to defeat it within the time limit.

Meow

Luckily, the recent sales event gave us the best Mewtwo counter, although it will take some investment of time to get it working.

Datamines show that Mew gains a double omniboost when entering combat with Mewtwo, meaning he can double any stat when entering combat.

It also has decent stats as a Mythical Pokemon, and Growl, Nasty Plot, Amnesia, and Acid Spray can all boost your stats and lower Mewtwos.

Dark Pulse is your best move in this scenario, but you still need to take a number of hits to defeat him.

  • Nature – Quiet
  • Capability – Synchronize
  • Article – shell bell
  • Tera Type – Dark
  • move set – Growl, dark pulse, nasty plot, acid spray

umbreon

Umbreon is best known for its bulk, with a Special Defense stat nearly equal to Mewtwo’s monstrous Special Attack.

Growl will help you keep your team healthy, and Mud Smash will make Mewtwo miss its moves.

Taunt can also be helpful when Mewtwo tries to use “Calm Mind” while “Foul Play” uses Mewtwo’s attack against it.

We’ve also added “Helping Hand” here if you want to take advantage of that supporting “Mon” to further boost another Pokémon’s damage.

Goodra

Goodra is just a good defensive Pokemon, and bonus points come from having access to the Hisuian form with armor armor to block critical hits.

This set is a support set featuring Rain Dance, which boosts muddy water and aids in healing with its Hydration ability.

“Acid Spray” lowers his defenses to allow others to intervene, while “Tera Blast” helps Goodra go on the offensive once he’s terastyled.
